BOOK REVIEW- Darker By E.L James

BLURB
E L James revisits the world of Fifty Shades with a deeper and darker take on the love story that has enthralled millions of readers around the globe.

Their scorching, sensual affair ended in heartbreak and recrimination, but Christian Grey cannot get Anastasia Steele out of his mind, or his blood. Determined to win her back, he tries to suppress his darkest desires and his need for complete control, and to love Ana on her own terms.

But the horrors of his childhood still haunt him, and Ana’s scheming boss, Jack Hyde, clearly wants her for himself. Can Christian’s confidant and therapist, Dr. Flynn, help him face down his demons? Or will the possessiveness of Elena, his seducer, and the deranged devotion of Leila, his former submissive, drag Christian down into the past?

And if Christian does win Ana back, can a man so dark and damaged ever hope to keep her?

MY THOUGHTS
So I don’t think I need to give you a blurb of this book as we all know that this is Christians POV and honestly I think these are better than the original Books. I had this on audiobook and it was narrated by Zachary Webber who was a brilliant choice for Christian he puts so much emotion and personality into to bringing us right to the heart of this character. Needless to say I loved it, it was 18 hours of pure pleasure and I know there is a bit of chatter and hatred going around about these books and yes most authors hate that one sentence of “Oh is your book like 50 shades?” (groan) “No” but personally I think the real story gets a little lost amongst the hot B&D sex and the alpha dominant billionaire because the real story for me is about that little boy who sat by his dead mothers body on the floor and how he was able to cope with an abusive childhood and a huge amount of issues until he meets Anna who is his total opposite and together they seem to learn and take from each other just what they need. So take it from me this is so worth listening to on audiobook.
